Charlotte Bucks National Trend

Real Estate is local in nature - what happens in one market doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on what happens in another market. See the links below-one describes the whole country and one describes Charlotte. Our market never got superheated, so we haven’t had a crash. We still have companies moving jobs here and local companies expanding - that means more people, therefore, more housing.

Got something to say?

Sorry about the local link-The Charlotte Observer isn’t the most friendly group of people when it comes to linking their articles-it worked yesterday-and it doesn’t today. You can see in the USA Today article that Charlotte is the only city without a minus sign in front of the price change figure. We were up 1.8%
Why does Charlotte continue to buck the nation trend and still show an increase in values? Could it be that we have just a great place to live, work and play. Yes, I’ve heard it before, too this, too that, not enought good whatever. The average communte time to uptown (downtown) depending on what you call it is 30 minutes. Depending on where you’re from originally this could be a breeze. Does your salary go farther? I think so. When we relocated here from Long Island I earned $42,000 per year, owned my home and fed two children and a wife. Here’s the real answer. It’s the people, the climate and yes the quality of life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, nothing could get me to move back, nothing!
I’d like to hear from some other voices out there. I welcome your comments….
Another reason to live, work and play here. The Charlotte Knights, the AAA team of the Chicago White Sox and the best sporting bet for a family I’ve ever seen that won’t break the bank. This is Bull Durham live and in person. Did you ever grow up thinking you wish you could play pro ball? This is my “Field of Dreams” Two season box seats cost $1500 and that includes parking. Opening day is Friday April 11th under the stars. That’s why I love Charlotte because I can relive my youth and yell: “there’s no crying in baseball”. Come to Charlotte and relive your youth.
Have you ever lived in a city where the focus is bringing more new business to town and actually making it happen? The flip side to that is having industry and technology leaving at a faster rate than it comes in.
Charlotte is a luck town but I guess that I believe in making your own luck and that is exactly what this city and the surrounding towns have in common. To live, work or play is a treat (unless you are owner of the Bobcats).
