Charlotte North Carolina- A problem with crime?
A contributing editor for Charlotte Magazine seems to think there is. Well, I’ve lived here for over 25 years, raised my family and think Charlotte is the best city I have ever lived in! Born and raised on Long Island New York in 1950 I think I’ve pretty much seen it all. I’ve lived in Cleveland Ohio, Washington D.C and then to this great city, and I do mean great. Look, this isn’t Mayberry but we are a growing and we are experiencing some of the results of that growth. The writer of an article which appeared in Charlotte magazine seems to think that the public officials are oblivious to crime. As long as we have crime and we will, people will always think that enough is not being done to address the problem.
Yes, I do have a vested interest in Charlotte. I live here and make my living from individuals and families moving here. If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a Realtor with Prudential Carolinas Realty. But I haven’t forgotten my main responsibility which is that of a father and husband. If Charlotte has a "crime problem" as the writer thinks let them make a difference! Placing a bullet on the front cover of their June issue does not solve the problem, make the officials more aware or hold parents to be more responsible for their children actions! If it was as easy as flipping a switch it would have happened by now.
I’d like to know what you think. Are you considering a relocation to the Charlotte area? Do you believe everything that’s printed or do you wish to hear from someone that’s been here for the past 25+ years, raised their family and has no intentions of ever leaving. Living and working in Charlotte is like being on a permanent vacation. If you are here or thinking about moving I’d like to hear from you.

Thanks for you comments on Charlotte, NC. In my husband and I are considering relocating to NC and would greatly appreciate some more infomation on the area. Please advise.
