Charlotte Sting Folds - Players To Be Dispersed

It is a sad day in Charlotte - it has been officially announced that our WNBA team, the Charlotte Sting, will fold, according to reports on Charlotte.com.  Recent efforts to move the team to Kansas City, MO were unsuccessful.  Current players will become a part of a ‘dispersal draft’.

Control of the team was relinquished to the league last month, after declining attendance over several seasons.

There are efforts underway to bring the team back in 2008.
